Su trabajo ha sido mostrado en numerosas exposiciones grupales y personales, de las que destacan Porcino (2019), Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden (2018), Strasbourg Biennale (2018), MAK Wien / Vienna Biennale (2017), Exile Gallery (2017), Hamburger Bahnhof (2017), Fotomuseum Winterthur (2014) y Hamburger Kunsthalle (2012).

Sarah Ancelle Schönfeld’s work jestingly reflects on the spiritual dimension of technological imaginations. It plays with knowledge and truth-production, which constitute and control human cosmologies. Her method consists of appropriation and recomposing concepts. In order to give an insight into the inconsistencies of meaning and open up parallel perspectives, common structures are sliced up, analyzed and defunctionalized, through oracular and alchemical experiments. She includes approaches from various fields in her practice, like linguistics, religion, science fiction, mythology, magic and technology. The work includes a wide range of mediums like photography, sculpture, installation and performance and music.
